Redistribution of brokerage commission
The law revising the brokerage commission came into force on December 23, 2020.
The law thus regulates the commission being split equally between the seller and the buyer.
Brokerage contracts are now only permitted in text form.
A new formal requirement is also part of the new law on brokerage commission. Newly concluded brokerage contracts that regulate the sale of a condominium or a single-family home must be in writing. Verbal agreements or a handshake are no longer sufficient to establish a valid brokerage contract.
